Culture Days! Art in the Garden: Monarch Monoprint Workshop, Where Longing Gathers

Facilitated by Jihee MinJoin us outside at Soper Creek to create your own monoprint inspired by the monarch egg imagery featured in Where Longing Gathers, a multi-generational collaborative installation by Jihee Min, Dong Won Kim, and Yeji Seol.
Participants of all ages and skill levels are invited to make a print using accessible printmaking techniques. As each print is completed, it will be hung to dry on a clothesline, echoing the installation currently on view in the Homecoming exhibition inside the VAC. Together, these individual prints will form a temporary community installation celebrating creativity, connection, and belonging. All materials are provided.

Holiday Card Printmaking Workshop
Sunday, November 22, 2026 | 10:30am to 2:00pm
$60 per personGet into the holiday spirit with some linocut printmaking! In this hands-on session, you'll design and carve your very own linoleum block—perfect for printing custom holiday cards or seasonal artwork. This workshop will guide you step by step through the linocut process, from transferring your design to pulling your final prints. All materials are provided—just bring a 5”x7” printed or hand-drawn design on paper to use as your carving reference. For creatives of all skill levels.
