Summer approaches, and that means activity at the VAC, inside and out. Two stimulating exhibitions and a full slate of summer art camps will have the Arts Centre alive with creative energy.  If the young people in your homes want to join in with our exceptional instructors, check our website for courses, times and fees, and give Linda a call.

Or better yet, come and wander our grounds and enjoy the results of the considerable efforts already underway by the “Been There” project. Under the guidance of project Director, Dave Chisling, several young people from Clarington have laboured with enthusiasm in the flowerbeds that surround Soper Creek and the Cream of Barley Mill; the result is a burst of colour and life.

Finally, a warm thank you to two departing Board members at the VAC. Jean-Michel Komarnicki has stepped down as President after several years at the helm, and departs with a rich legacy of commitment and achievement. Angela Harris will leave her post as a Director as well, having served with equal zeal. No cultural facility survives, let alone thrives, without such commitment.
